Teaching key point:
How to help the students master the new words and the sentence pattern.
Teaching difficult point:
Students can use the singular and plural forms of nouns correctly.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Warming-up and lead in
Greeting.
Sing the song “Old Macdonald had a Farm” with students.
Show a picture of the shop to ask students have a free talk to lead in today's topic.
Step 2 Presentation
New words and phrases:
Play the game "I draw you guess" to teach the words: apple, banana.
Use real objects to teach the words: orange, pear.
Teach students how to read the words and ensure that they can read them correctly and exactly.
New sentence pattern:
Teach the new sentence pattern by broadcasting the recording and asking students to answer three questions on PPT.
Q1: How much is a pear
Q2: How much are the four apples
Write the key sentence pattern "How much is it How much are they Here you are. ... yuan. Here you are." on the blackboard and explain the usage of it. Then practise the sentence pattern with my students by asking and answering.
Step 3 Practice
(1) Divide students into boy Group and girl group. Let them play the game “What is missing” to practice the new words and phrases.
(2) Listen to the recording and repeat. Then make up a new conversation with their partner based on it. After that, play the game "Hot potato" to choose a right pair to show their conversation.
Step 4 Production
Group work: Do a survey.
Four students in a group to finish the task: Create a situation that they are at a fruit shop, encourage them to do a survey by asking their group members the price of fruit. Finish the chart on the blackboard. Remind them to use the new words and the sentence pattern they have learned. At last, students make a report in front of the classroom.
Step 5 Summary
Students summarize and the teacher gives supplements timely.
Emphasize the importance of teamwork spirit and encourage them to have a healthy diet.
Step 6 Homework
Students are encouraged to make up a dialogue by asking their family members the price of the fruit, and share their dialogue next class.

Hello, boys and girls, how are you today Great! Great! Great! I am great, too. Thanks for your asking. Are you ready for our English travel Yes.
First, let's sing the song "Old Macdonald had a farm" together. Everybody, stand up. "Old Macdonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O. And on his farm he had some cows, E-I-E-I-O. With a moo moo here and a moo moo there, here a moo there a moo, everywhere a moo moo. Old Macdonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O." (配合肢体动作) Wow, your voices are so beautiful. You are so lovely.
Boys and girls, look at the picture. What’s this Yes, it’s a shop. Do you like shopping Yes. So do I. When we go to the shop to buy some things. What should we say Let’s learn Unit 8 At the fruit shop to have a look. （板书标题）
Step 2 Presentation

We see if we want to ask others the price of some things at the shop, how to ask Yes, we can use the sentence "How much is it How much are they" (板书) And how to answer You are so smart. We can use "...yuan." (板书答句) And when we give something to somebody, we can say like this “Here you are.”（做出递东西的动作） My boys and girls, read the sentence pattern on our blackboard loudly after me. Good pronunciation. The dialogue is about Mrs Li. How about you When you are at the fruit shop and want to buy fruit, what would you say Here is a shopping list. Steven, you please. Step3 Practise
First, let's play a game "What's missing" to practise the new words. I will divide you into boys group and girls group and let's have a competition. (板书反馈分组和竞争) Are you ready Let's go. Number 1, what's missing (手遮单词) Good, girls got it. It's "pear". One star for girls group. Let's go on. Number 2, what's missing Great, boys got it. It's "banana". One star for you. And one more time, one, two, three, what's missing Well, my girls got it again. It's "apples". We see girls are the winners. Let's clap for them, great, great, you are great. (配合手势) My boys, never mind, come on next time.
Then, listen to our dialogue again and repeat. After that, try to make up a new conversation with your partner based on it. 5 minutes for you. Here we go. OK, time is up. Finished Who wants to share your new conversation with us Wow, all of you put up your hands, who should I choose, how about the game "Hot Potato" Look at my hand, here is a ball, remember it is a hot potato, so you have to pass it one by one as quickly as you can. Step 5 Summary
