• Schools in the United States typically use report cards to report students’ learnina progress to their parents. Most schools use a grading system of A through F combined with a plus （ ) or minus （-) sign, or a numerical system of 1 through 100 percent.
• In most elementary and secondary schools in the United States, the school year is divided into two semesters. Each semester is divided into two auarters. Report cards are usually given at the end of each quarter.
